The Maryland Medical Cannabis Commission (MMCC) has released the final license applications for additional medical cannabis growers and processors. Applications will be accepted for 60 days, from March 25, 2019 through May 24, 2019. The state may award up to 14 new medical cannabis business licenses – 4 grower licenses and 10 processor licenses.
The licenses will be issued in such a way that ensures racial diversity among the companies that win them, stemming from the results of a Disparity Study on the cannabis businesses within the Maryland market.
All applications must be completed and submitted through an online application portal. A link to the online application portal will be available on the MMCC website beginning on April 1, 2019.
